Founded in 1988, Victoria Chorale is the home of singers from Victoria School and Victoria Junior College. Under the guidance of our esteemed condutor, Mr. Nelson Kwei, our voices have voyaged to prestigious international festivals, including Llangollen, Pohlheim and Bournemouth.

The choir emerged category champions in the Musica Sacra A Capella category in the 2006 World Choir Games held in Xiamen, China. In 2017, the choir emerged Grand Champions at the inaugural Mando Cantat International Choral Competition, sweeping top prizes in the Equal Voices, Open, Chamber as well as Sacred Music categories.

The choir has also been invited on concert tours to prominent performance art venues and festivals like the South Arts Center, South Korea (2009), Lionel Wendt Theatre in Colombo, Sri Lanka (2014), and the Sarawak International Festival of Music and Arts (2022).

Through the years, the choir has served as a haven for alumni to grow as musicians and friends. Every year, generations of singers return for our homecoming carolling session known fondly as the Grand Reunion. Along with our annual concert series In Song, our performances are testament to our choral family’s commitment to kinship and good choral singing.
